Hello, fellow visitor! I am VinnyPix, a content creator and programmer who built this website completely from scratch. I have been making content for about 2 years and started the hobby of programming less than a year ago. This personal website is where I show my projects, media, and a bit about myself. I started my journey back in middle school, and I had a lot of funny moments with friends and community members online! My YouTube channel focuses on gaming content as well as collaborations with others! Whether you found me from here, YouTube, Discord, or somewhere else, I am very happy that you are here. Take a look around if you wish and feel free to reach out to me if you have an inquiry or want to talk. Check out my socials using the links in the header at the top of the page. Thanks for stopping by!

What I Do

I am a programmer who enjoys developing websites and video games. On the web side, I work with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build websites like the one you are currently viewing. I focus on creating interfaces that are easy to navigate. For game development, I use the Unity Game Engine, which uses C# for scripting. My current major project, "Vinny's Spelling Bee," is an educational word game that challenges players to spell words correctly under pressure. I handle everything from gameplay logic to UI, audio, and scripting. It has taught me a lot about the engine and has helped me grow significantly as a programmer.

As a content creator on YouTube, I make gaming videos and collaborate with others for content. While my uploads have been infrequent for some time, I am happy to announce I will be coming back relatively soon. I believe in making content that is both entertaining and simple, and I want my channel to reflect how much work I have put into it over the past two years.

My PC Setup

My Equipment

Here is a list of electronics I currently use or own. Some of these machines are functional, some are broken, but each one I used at least once.

  • Gaming PC: My main computer for development, gaming, and content creation.
    • ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 motherboard: An AM3+ board, not very powerful today but it gets the job done.
    • AMD FX-8350 8-core CPU: It is not the best AM3+ socket CPU, but it eats a lot of power under load.
    • 16GB DDR3 1866MHz RAM: I do not care about the speeds that much, but 16 GB is somewhat limiting when developing.
    • MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC: A decent GPU for its price that can render Unity and AA or even some AAA games at reasonable settings.
    • Thermaltake Smart BX1 650W: An 80 Plus Bronze power supply that also gets the job done.
  • Dell Vostro 230: A computer with lots of fifth grade memories that sat outside my shed for over 4 years. It still powered on with raw components but was eventually stripped down and is no longer necessary.
  • Acer Aspire E5-532: A purple laptop gifted to me near the end of sixth grade that I used for over two and a half years. Its hard drive failed recently, so it is now non-functional.
  • HP Pavilion 15-p084ca: A laptop with a failing hard drive, a failing fan, and overheating problems. It is set aside and is mainly non-functional.
  • Toshiba N200: A very old laptop that sits collecting dust because the hardware cannot even run Windows XP.
  • Acer Aspire 5250: A budget laptop used for hosting a Discord bot and a Windows AD-DC server.
  • PowerEdge T430: My old gaming PC. The motherboard was bricked while trying to boot into Hackintosh. It is non-functional, but I will be salvaging the 32GB of RAM from this machine.
  • Nintendo Switch 2: My main video game console since I really enjoy Nintendo content.
  • Samsung Galaxy A20: My old main phone that now has a non-functional LCD and is collecting dust.
  • Google Pixel 4a: My new main phone that is snappy, fast, and can store over 100 gigabytes of storage space.
  • Xbox One: My old Xbox that is collecting dust due to lack of use. I will never sell it since it was my first video game console, gifted to me by my mother.
  • PlayStation 4: It was my mother's PlayStation 4. I mainly use it to play Call of Duty and Dead Island 2. Those are games I enjoy playing in my spare time.
  • Wii: A console I use for gaming which is also homebrewed. I like games like Mario Kart and Wii Sports.

All of this equipment, whether it is new or ancient, is important to me in a specific way even if it is not immediately obvious.

Vinny's Spelling Bee (Upcoming Release)

Vinny's Spelling Bee is an educational game where you have to hear a word and type it in the game, just like spelling bee competitions. If you get the word correct, you can advance to the next word. If you get it wrong, there are consequences which I will let you discover for yourself.

The game includes a dictionary of words of increasing difficulty, audio for each of those words, a scoring system, and a clean user interface. There is also a practice mode for the game.

The game uses its own audio system to play words spoken by speakers, a user interface that works on both desktop and mobile computers, and a system for words of increasing difficulty to be presented based on your spelling ability. Additionally, there will be leaderboards and challenges upon the full release of the game.

Spelling Bee is designed to be fun and educational for players of all ages, and to provide an engaging way to increase one's spelling skills. The game is planned to be released later this year, and any updates can be found on my YouTube channel or Discord server.

My Cat Bean!

Meet my adorable little kitty, Bean (or Beany for short). He joined our family recently and has been a whirlwind of energy, mischief, and affection ever since. Bean is a playful tabby with a curious personality and an endless supply of enthusiasm for exploring every corner of the house.

Before you ask, the name "Bean" is in no way affiliated with Bean's Can from Roblox. The name Bean just fit the vibe he was giving, so it stuck. ♥

Bean has a lot of favorite activities. Since he is a house cat, he loves noises and randomly jumping on our legs when we least expect it. He loves it, but we do not like it as much. He is also heavily obsessed with counters and tables, no matter how many times we put him down on a lower surface. His speed on the ground is impressive for such a small cat. I swear he can keep up with Sonic the Hedgehog when he zooms around the floor at full speed. However, his ground speed is nothing compared to his ability to go up or down our 12-step staircase. He can go either direction on those stairs in just over a second. It is remarkably fast, and you can tell whether he is energized or not just by watching this.

Despite his mischievous nature, Bean is incredibly endearing. He sleeps around the house with different family members, and he has a habit of putting himself to bed by running to the top of his cat tower and taking a nap unless you walk by, at which point he will wake up.

He is still very young, about 5 months old, so we are working on training him to avoid drinking from the sink and to be gentle with his claws. Because he is still a kitten, I cannot see that last goal being successful anytime soon. He may be a pest from time to time, but that is part of what makes him so lovable in our family. I plan to share more photos and videos of Bean on my social media as he grows older.

Projects

Over the past few months I have worked on several projects.

Mario Kart Pace Calculator

A web-based tool for Mario Kart Time Trial players that calculates lap paces to give the average lap time needed for a target total time. It works by entering a target time and the number of laps, then it divides the time by the laps to provide the average lap time. This tool has been quite handy for me and others.

This website you are viewing has been built from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with months worth of effort and production. There are lots of cool features and secrets on this site with even more to come in the future. This website serves as my personal hub of information for connecting with the community and discussing my content and personal life. All code is hand-written without frameworks. If you do not believe me, check the source code.

Technology

I have been working with technology for the past 8 years. My dream job is to be an experienced technician, and I already know a great deal about computers and the internal components inside unique machines. If I can achieve this goal, I will be very satisfied with my choices.
